RockJock’s High Steer Knuckles for JL Wrangler, JL Unlimited and JT Gladiator vehicles are a game changer! Simply installing these knuckles raises your tie rod 2 3/4 in. and your drag link 2 1/2 in.! These knuckles, for use on factory axles or axles that retain factory inner C-knuckles, are intended for use with RockJock’s other high steer components, to give you a package that provides all the necessary components to accommodate the higher steering location, adjust all geometry points and allow you to easily install a hydraulic assist steering ram, or to reinstall your stabilizer shock! Knuckles are manufactured to greater than OEM standards in every way. Features include premium iron castings, gloss black finish and precise machining for a component that installs just like factory. Additionally, provided are extra threaded steering stop bolt holes ahead of the axle to allow for a second set of stops to be added, giving you firm steering lock stops on both wheels at all times, easing strain on other components. For best results, it is highly recommended that these knuckles be used in conjunction with one of RockJock’s knuckle kits that include all of the other components to make this installation easy. Their RJ-440000-101 kit includes a forged, high articulation Drag Link, a 42mm chromoly Tie Rod, as well as the bracket and clamp kits to allow you to install a hydraulic assist steering ram. They also offer their RJ-440001-101 kit that includes the same Drag Link and Tie Rod, as well as the bracket and clamp kits to allow you to reinstall your steering stabilizer shock at a much higher, protected height. Additionally, the use of their RJ-9120FJLF forged, organically shaped front trac bar is highly recommend, so that all components nest together for maximum up travel as engineered.

What are the differences between the series you offer?

Our product lines are designed to offer the absolute most value for your budget. Not every build is the same and we understand that. Our series differ mostly in the components used in the construction of the parts. Our Cruise and Town Series utilizes our high grade flex poly bushings at both ends of the arm, this has proven to be a smooth riding easy to maintain and replace bushing that we absolutely love. Our Camp and Trail Series utilizes 5/16″ wall DOM tubing and incorporates a flexible Johnny Joint at the adjusting end, this series has been our most popular series for all around use, great for daily drivers that want to tear up the trails as well. Our Crawl, Tow, and Track Series utilizes the same 5/16″ wall DOM tubing, but features Johnny Joints at both ends. This series gives you the absolute most out of your suspension. This is great for heavy towing/hauling and extreme off-roading. Also, if the component is straight in these series we will machine these left and right hand threaded for easy adjustment on the vehicle!

Do you offer complete lift kits for my vehicle?

What size wrench do I need from my jam nuts?

Our two main sizes of jam nuts require an1-1/2″ wrench or an 1-5/8″ wrench. Generally speaking the 1-5/8″ jam nuts are used on our lower control arms and the 1-1/2″ jam nuts on our upper control arms and track bars. There are some exceptions, but we do offer a crow’s foot that has both sizes.

What type of grease should I use?

Any non-synthetic moly based grease is safe on our products, avoid lithium greases and anything red as this can prematurely deteriorate the internal components of the Johnny Joints and bushings used on our parts.
